Comments:
A little sore from yesterday, but totally fine otherwise. Stretched halfway and some after. No real strength. Six short strides last mile cuz I felt like it. OFF tmrw. Really happy with this last week of hard(ish) training before the taper begins. Next week I'll aim for 15ish miles (with 2 days off and a day or two of short and fast stuff), then 10 the week after (a day of short fast stuff and 3 days off total). As for after the race, I imagine I'll be running every other day for a couple weeks and then start building once I get to camp on June 9. Goals for the summer are to take more days off than I think I'll need, not exceeding 20 miles/week before July and getting to 30 miles by end of July, cutting down to the teens/20s for final weeks of camp. Will ruthlessly follow the 10% rule and prevent injury at all cost.
