Oxford Park Run

Joined Alex on this lovely jaunt through the park near his place. Some 400 people were running it. Warmed up there, did some leg swings, and was off. Started off with Alex at slow conversational pace but then decided after 4 mins that I should just go for it so I started to drop the pace. Splits were 7:30ish, 6:10ish, 5:50ish, 40ish. Had I dropped the pace earlier, I very easily could have gotten under 20 but I’ll take it. Under 20:30 is aight given the circumstances. Jogged a cooldown and called it. Some strength before, good bit of stretching after. I’m thinking 3-4ish tmrw, but we’ll see! Need to up the glute/hip work because right hamstring and groin are starting to tighten up on me.
