2ks/Downward Ladder

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 60's; Sunny

Comments:
Jogged extended way to track, then got going with the workout – 1600, 1200, 800, 400, all with 2k tempos in between (and lap jogs between all reps). I had benchmarks of 5:30, 4:00, 2:35, and 70, respectively, and I told myself that tempo would be about effort, not speed, so I didn't look down at my watch during any of the tempo reps. Splits for ladder were:

I felt really good throughout the workout, I think now is time to start tapering/ish for nats/final races of the year. Honestly, travel for nats sounds really hectic and there's a lot going on on campus then, so I might opt to do a 10k or even a half instead around that time, but we'll see! Will decide soon.
