Another strangely designed workout, but we made it work! Ran to Kines building to pay for Nats, where I'll be running the half, 5k, and 8. An odd smorgasbord but I figured it'll be fun! Jogged extended way to track and then did some drills and strides (maybe should've done more in hindsight) before getting after the workout of the day – hard 800 (5-10 sec off PR), 5 mins jog rest, 5x1k @ threshold, 5 mins jog rest, and then 5x300 @ mile pace. 800 was tough, but happy that I just BARELY positive splat and had a fine finish, then ks ended up being negative split on the whole, but that was just the way the crumble cookied. 300s were tough to wrap my speed around – too short for a 400, too long for 200 clip. Overall pretty consistent, tho. Jogged extended way home and had short stretch before calling it. 7-8ish tmrw, workout again on Thursday. 600s? I'll have to double check spreadsheet.
