Comments:
With an extra long lunch today, I figured I'd get in a track session today, long run Friday, then the 4-miler race on Sunday.
Drove to CGHS, did the River Rd/R St loop for warm-up, then hopped the fence to the track. It was time to repeat ye olde 400s workout.
Felt pretty good on the warm-up and fairly strong on the strides. Light mist and light south winds.
First couple felt easy -- too comfortable. Upped the effort on 3-5. Peed on the rest and got a quick drink (about 3:00 time rest and 400m jog). REALLY focused on form: keeping engaged and getting the foot out there. Felt pretty good. Only struggled a bit on the last 2, especially since the rain/wind picked up a bit in the 2nd set.

I would've liked them faster, but I was really happy with the steady effort. Rest intervals were real consistent 'til the last 2, which was also good.
Did 2 laps cooldown, then hopped into the car and drove back to work, where I dropped off stuff, then "cooled down" the long way (down River Rd and back on 99) to Anytime for a lift, then back.
Nice little "lunch tyme"!
