Indoor speed work at Prep

After a good showing for team at meet, I paced Spergel for an even 13:10 3200m with Marisa along for a 6:27 1600m. Then jogged nearly a mile (and chatted). Then ran "on/off 200m" for consecutive 3200m total. [37.1, 49.1, 38.0, 47.2, 38.6, 48.0, 38.3, 47.6 (5:43 first 1600), 38.3, 46.3, 37.8, 45.6, 39.3, 46.3, 73.2 (5:27 second 1600)(11:10.0 total 3200 with final 400 at speed)].

Disappointed with lack of turnover work and "staying within my comfort zone," so I added 4x200m with 200 recoveries easy after a 200m recovery. [34.4, 34.8, 34.2, 33.3] Half mile cool-down. I realize now that I have lost the speed of youth. Right calf was brutalized by the end. Still, I had fun,and I know my strength lies more now than ever with my endurance and recovery.
