PRE Trails AT

Weather: high 40s, relatively dry

Comments:
Probably my best AT in a year or more.

Thought about going down to Amazon, but it rained a ton last night and that loop is soggy as hell. Warmed up on PRE and decided to do the AT on the old loop. Did West PRE, then strides x4 in the parking lot, then we got after it.

I think I'm finally starting to hone the stride:

-lumbar lordosis
-slight forward "engagement" (so, being forward without FLEXING forward in the spine = at the HIPS)
- PULLING with the gluts/hamstrings. REACH + PULL (=quads/flexors + hams/extensors)

Didn't look at the splits 'til I was done. Breathing was good early; I lost it a couple times going up the hill/round the corners and into the wind, but it was probably the best and strongest I've felt. The times reflected that, also:

Miles 2 and 3 were always long (and even longer now with the construction detour). Looking back, this is the fastest I've ever gone on this loop, easily.

TIRED once done, but otherwise terrific. Good deal...
