Fartlek

1 mile warm up
fartlek 8ish miles of 2:30 on/ 5:00 off
.5ish mile cool down

Didn't feel like I was moving that fast but my opening 'on' part that I was using just to warm my legs up still I came through 800 right at 2:30. Only sped up after that.

Recovered really fast and was ready to go 100% after 2:00 and did my off sections a little more upbeat. I was a little more than 100m out from where I was going to start my cool down before I hit the point I was supposed to start the 'on' section again. Said fuck it and decided to do the full 2:30 through the cool down and merge it all together. Wound up running the cool down mile, uphill and into the wind at 5:48 and I didn't even do the whole 'on' section in that last mile.

Wow, wasn't expecting that.

Thing I was afraid of though is that I had some shin soreness going on, things really didn't feel right but got better as I went. I have a feeling it was due to the colder weather but still was worried. Icing now and I'm getting the same feeling when I pull the ice off which makes me think it was just the weather. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
