Comments:
Didn't really want to do a workout today, I would have rather done one tomorrow but it's possible that I won't even have time to run tomorrow depending on how long my chem lab takes. Thursday's are always tight on time so it just made the most sense logistically to workout today.
Legs were a bit tired from the high mileage the past few days. I held back today on miles and I will tomorrow too. Legs felt super sluggish during strides, per usual. They haven't felt 'snappy' since I've came back, it will be a couple of weeks yet. The workout went surprisingly well though, I still have tons of aerobic fitness (yay!) but my legs are just out of shape, they don't want to move fast still. I figured I should be running around 88 seconds for these. I also wasn't entirely sure where I should start because I couldn't find a 100M line in lane 1, so I just kind of guessed. Based on my times, I think I judged a little long because I always came through the 400M in around 70 seconds, so I should have been finishing in 87.5-88, but most were slow. First one felt effortless except when I was into the wind on the backstretch. For rest I decided I was going to take as much as I needed to keep these consistent (until my breathing was comfortable again). First one only took 90 seconds of jogging (~200M) so I kept with that throughout. Second one was a little slow, third felt fine and I was a bit tired by the fourth, but I finished strong trying to speed up in the last 50M.
Also. BEAUTIFUL weather!! 74 degrees! First shirtless run this year!!!
