Comments:
Ran the 1500 and 800. Won the 15 in 4:02.89 and ran like 1:59.6 in the 800. Got 2 of my 3 goals that I set for myself in this meet: I won and I ran a sub 4:30 pace 15 and sub 2 8 which I've never done before. I'm semi happy with my 1500. Splits were: 63, 67.8, 65.0, 47. Didn't finish as well as I did at Wake but I'm attributing that to not having anyone to catch in the last little bit. Basically I was leading with people around me and then at the 8 coach said that it was too slow, I dropped the 65 and everybody else with it. I've decided that next week I'm just gonna go from the gun. I didn't think about trying to hold pace that second lap and thats why it sucked. I feel like if I think about mantaining and push through starting after the first lap the elusive sub 4 will finally be mine. In the 8 I went out at about 57 which was good but I definitly felt the 15. The 57 didn't feel as easy as it should and I obvisouly tanked a little on the second lap. I need to be more focused between events at thses 1 day meets which I've gotten away from since the past few meets have been 2 days and I only ran 1 event per day. Pretty easy cool down where I ran before when Elaine ran at Nats. Wondered if vultures would eat oreos. I left one out there but none of them went for it:(
