Weather: hot! 75ish
Comments:
another tempo workout. goal: 2-3 x 1600 @ 6:45-6:50
didn't really go so well. didn't hurt at all, thank God, but I just felt dead. slash really out of shape. the first one was on pace, 6:47, but felt really fast. the second one I had to stop at the half. ew. totally wasted at that point, it was even hard to jog haha. thats what I get for running a tough long run and then trying a fast workout two days later without running in between... not going to do that again.
so, to recap: very discouraging. reality: not going to be able to run 6:50 pace in a 3k, especially not in steeple. the 1500 might be a smarter race to try, even though I definitely won't do so hot. which is fine.
