Weather: perfect running weather. warm but not hot
Comments:
i had 4 french toast for breakfast. 1 muffin and one bagel for lunch, one muffin on the bus about two hours before i raced. i warmed up with ryan and austin. my goal was to beat ryan in either the mile or 800. after doing all the warmup, the race started. i got out fast, sticking with ryan and alec, but i was in the second lane because i was stuck on the side of both alec and ryan. i eventually dropped back a foot or so, but still stuck with them. on the second lap, ryan and i got ahead and were racing for the lead. then the third lap austin and alec passed us, and ryan got a little ahead. with 200 meters to go, i caught up and passed ryan. i gave it all i had on the straight-away, but ryan beat me by a little bit. i can finally say that i gave it all i had. i came in 4rth behind austin, alec, and ryan and had a time of 4:46.8 i think. then i had the 800 in 20 minutes. i kept jogging, and then stretched a little. the 800 went off, and ryan alec and austin went ahead at the beginning and had their own pack. on the second lap, i almost caught ryan, but he beat me by one second again. i ran a 2:15 and im happy with the races today. i did a 30ish minute cooldown that consisted of a following the leader run
