Confrence Day 2

So the 1500 was pretty bad. I stuck it out there early and got burned pretty bad. In retrospect I probably went out too hard fighting the wind the first backstreach and getting pushed down the home streach. I feel like mentally I got demoralized when people started passing me lap 3. There are definitly things I need to work on and I'll lay those out tomorrow. Just didn't feel the same as I did indoor. Going out too hard probably ruined it. I think the pressure got to me and I blew my load early.
Afterward I just felt like a weight was taken off my shoulders. I didn't feel nervous at all untill the 4x8 started. All warming up and stuff I was completely fine which never happens.
Cromer ran great in the 5k for 4th in a weird tactical race and the girls 4x8 got second wich wsa awsome so that pumped me up watching.
Phil popped off like 2 flat which was good. Came through in a big pack at the handoff. Kurt ran another 2 flat second leg and moved us to about 6th. Drew than ran an awsome 1:57!! to get us into 5th right between NYU and Brandeis. Got the stick with Turlip about 2 or 3 meters on me. The Brandeis guy took off pretty hard and actually passed Turlip the first hundred. I just kinda setteled in on their backs to sit since the wind was pretty bad on the back streach. Kinda stayed there theh whole first lap. With 300 to go felt good and felt like I needed to pass to stay in rythum so I moved down the backstreach. On the curve Turlip passed me but on the home streach I got him back to give us 4th in about 7:57. Polar opposite to the 15.
