Exercise Type: Run

Second of my off days

Goals for Cross Country
1. NATIONALS
If we don't make it as a team this year I'll probably consider this comming season a failure. I hate to hang the whole season on one thing but thats probably how it has to be. Were too good a group of guys not to make it.
2.All-Region
Gotta have this for me. The 5k I ran at OWU shows that the future for me is distance and I feel like I can run this.
3. Split sub 16
Definitly feel like this is possible on a fast course. Would really like to do this jsut for the heck of it.
4. Finish strong like indoor
Best races are regionals and nationals.

Summer goals:
Had my meeting with coach and talked mileage and stuff for the summer. I'm gonna have to do it all in singles cuz of work which is fine. I feel like thats good better than I did before senior year of high school. And I'm gonna run 7 days a week too every 5 weeks an off day.
1. Consistensy
I was not very good at this last summer and it showed. I feel like I even felt it at the end of track I couldn't peak as well due to not having any base phase this summer. I was able to hold it together for one season of track but I didn;t have the miles to do what I wanted late.
2. Leg strength
I feel like my legs are week and need to be strenghtened. I'm pretty sure I can't squat 200lbs and I feel like increasing leg strength will help both speed wise and strength wise on hills and powering through late miles. That said I'm gonna try to do lots of hills. Bedford Res and Happydays. Carriage trail. Probably keep the long runs and the up tempo stuff for the flat. Try to find trails to go easy on the legs during this base phase
3. Re energize
I don't feel burned out exactly just I feel worn out from the pressure of confrence. I feel like I wasn't ready and when I given a long time of no pressure I'll be back and in a better mental place to take it. I'm gonna run a 5k in a couple weeks but theres no pressure there. Just kinda a base line.
