Steeplechase! at EFA

Weather: hot and sunny. mid or high 70s

Comments:
i had some crossonts in the morning, then at lunch i had three more little pillsbury dough crossonts, along with a blueberry muffin and a smoothy. i got to the track meet and warmed up, because steeple was the first event. when i finished warming up, i did speed d and did a couple hurdle practices. we got on the line, and he said on your mark and waited for a while, so someone moved, then we did it again and started. (i did wear socks) i was in fourth, staying next to matt. matt and i hit hands on the first hurdle. then we went for a while. my first water pit experience was fun. i liked the feel of the water, and i landed ok, i passed matt and cody, and evan was ahead of me. for the rest of the race, i was pretty much by myself. i hurdled them when i felt comfortable enough, but sometimes i stepped on them. my right leg was my leading leg on all of them. the last 3 laps, it really started to get painful, plus my heel was bugging me a little. i kicked it in on after the last barrrier becasue i couldnt do it before then. i came in second with a time of 10:54. then i cooled down , did 4 striders, then played frizbee and then cooled down with random people after that, so i dont know exactly how much i actually cooled down.
