Exercise Type: Run
Weather: Cool a little windy but otherwise perfect weather
Comments:
Ran the 5k at Allegheney for my last race of the season. Really just looking for a baseline time for me to work from in future years. Just kinda tried to keep in shape after confrence, did a couple workouts but wasn't 100% hardcore training for it as is seen in my logs.
I ran 15:38 which is a 1sec pr. Basically the race can be broken down into 3 parts.
The first 5 laps were good. They were all around 73 and not really varying at all. It felt good running them. I felt comfortable for the most part its just hard to explain why I slowed down the next 5. I had some bowel trouble but that didn't slow me that much. I just think I'm not used to racing for that long and obvisouly need to train for it better if I'm gonna run something fast. Also I feel as if I have no judge of how much is left in the race and how much energy I have left. I again finished strong like at OWU. Last 2 laps were 73 69 dropping down from an 81 the lap before. And the last 200 was 31.7 so I've obvisouly got the speed there.
