May 13, 2010 (Morning)
Exercise Type: Run
Weather: 50s, damp
Comments:
Pretty SOLID day. Slept OK, got a ride from Julie to PDX, then had a luxurious non-stop to MSP. Mom picked me up at 1230, we met Beekz for lunch at Key's, then home.
Did circuits, then met Finch at his house for a run. Good to see him. We ran from his house my Hoffman Park loop: out to Meissen's old place, then down main, up/around to the Mound. It was VERY MUDDY up there, but fun. Despite slipping around, we hammered two laps pretty good: 6:53, 6:52 (which is like 6:20 pace for 1709m).
Coolest moment: running down Main, we passed WESTconsin CU and the bank clock read "5:13", on 5/13!!!
I had some gut-rot from the soup/'cakes I had at Key's, but otherwise the legs and energy were good. Had a Bell's Two Hearted at Finch's afterwards, then light jogged home.
PM at Neuhaus': outside, an assortment of beers. Fun to catch-up.
LEFT HIP: On the plane today I realized that it may be a RELEVANT LATERAL COMPONENT on the L. Did about 200 sideglide stretches and it got WAYYY BETTER (first with new onset L LBP). Very cool!!!
