STAC Championship at Binghamton

May 20, 2010 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: very sunny, in the 80s

Comments:
this morning my heel was hurting a little, and i took it easy on my heel throughout the day so i could destroy it in the race. i had a spinach and cheese omlet sandwich for breakfast and a muffin and smoothy for lunch. i got out of school at 1:15. we got to binghamton, and i did a short warmup before the meet started, and then got comfy and rested in the shade. then i warmed up when the time came, and i was a little rushed, but not too bad. i then put on my spikes and after the slower heat went, we went. time was racing with me. i went out in a 1:07, then a 1:14, then 1:13, then kicked a 1:06. this was one of the first times i truly was only racing for time, and i did not care about place at all. i think i came in 10th or 11th. i was in last for most of the race until i kicked on the last lap. i was pumping my arms a lot, and after the race, my arms were much more sore than my legs for the first time ever. they had me at 4:44, but cartwright said it was definately 4:43.9. after that, i did a short cooldown, and my heel was not hurting as badly as i expected it to, but it still hurt a little.
