Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 89 degrees when we raced, hotter earlier

Comments:
i had a potato and pasta for dinner last night, spinach and cheese omlet for breakfast, a fruit smoothy and a muffin and peanut butter banana sandwhich for lunch, and a little more muffin before i raced.at the beginning of the meet, i warmed up with austin for one lap. then i warmed up with ryan and zack when the time came. we all raced without compression shorts. our goal was to place, beat matt moody, and get a time better than 10:20. we got to the line and i was really nervous. then the gun went off and i got into a pretty good position, and when zack and ryan cut in, i stuck with them. for a while everybody was going back and forth, then it settle out. eventually matt passed us and i tried to go witth him but i couldnt quite do it. then i was racing, just trying to catch up with him the whole race. on the last two laps, it was extremely painful and i had to argue with myself in my head to keep pushing it. then i kicked on the last 400, but slowed down a little at the 200 mark, then kicked again at the straightaway. i definately gave it all i had, because i almost fainted after i finished, and i once i got onto the field, i just lied down and couldnt get up for a while, just like the one time i ran my 800 all out in indoor. then i did a cooldown with matt from efa. in the race, i came in 6th with a time of 10:13 and in the meet, i think we were second.
