The other side of the bayou

June 8, 2010 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: Mostly sunny and warm

Comments:
Home, La Brea, Suspiro, Petra, Bayou Trail to bridge and back

Started out with an easy 7:11 first mile, not as warm or as windy as yesterday, decided to take the new trail on the water treatment plant side of the bayou to see where it lead, you go under Alief Clodine and the Westpark tollway and continue on the trail toward a new park near the church where my Boy Scout troop met, only ran to the first bridge because I just needed sixish miles, will have to explore the rest sometime in the future probably when I have more mileage to work with, saw some people fishing the bayou with nets near the fire training center, decent run except for a pit stop with a little more than 1.5 miles to go, kinda raced a father and son on a bicycle, saw my mom out of her run, another little kid on a bike told me to hustle when I was almost finished, stretch, 30 Eagle.
