Weather: 70s, super nice
Comments:
9:30 pm, 2 mile wu on the larger loop of the xc course, 3 mile steady state on the track, 2 mile cooldown on the track.
was feeling pretty good on the warmup, although i didn't think i was moving that slow. did drills on the track and took off. pace was slow on the first lap because the split time and the total time switched places on my watch and so i thought i was really fast at 100m but i actually wasn't. recovered fairly well for the first mile, but i just wasn't feeling great during most of this. was originally going to do four but there was no way that was happening. was shooting for 5:45s so i'm not all that disappointed but i didn't expect this to be this difficult. hr was 180 at the end. cooled down slow but i couldn't have gone faster if i'd wanted to.
