Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Decided at 12:30AM this morning not to race and I reset my alarm clock for 7:30 instead of 6:30. I laid around for a bit and finally got going at 9AM. Should have gone at 8AM like I wanted, it was already 85 out. Felt tired for the first 6 miles (good thing I didn't race!), but things started to improve over the next couple miles. Stopped at Minnehaha for some water. Drank too much and had some gut rot on the way back. Started to get exhausted and very very hot around mile 10. Stopped again for some water at mile 12. Had a couple of sips. It was really cold and refreshing. Yudof hill was rough, and the last mile home was somewhat of a slog. I need to plan ahead for runs this long in the heat. I need to hydrate better. Wish I could have some gatorade mid run or something.
Glad I didn't race. I was tired today, it's too hot out and I haven't had an actual long run in for a couple of weeks. So that was nice. Rest of the afternoon will be spent on the apple river :)
