Exercise Type: Run

Comments:
Long run to cap the week off. Just basically decided to run the red white boom half marathon route with some extra to get to 100 minutes. I brought 4 shot bloks with me, two in each pocket. I started out very tired and ate the first two blocks at 3 miles in. I felt them right around mile 6 and the small caffeine boost seemed to help because my form lengthened out and I sped up. I ate the next two at mile 7 and they kicked in around mile 10. I timed it well because I didn't start to feel tired until the last two minutes on the run, and that was just general exhaustion. Legs are certainly sore but the run felt good. Nice to have my first 70 mile week done in over 4 years, sheesh! I think I'll ease it back next week and then try to maintain a few more weeks at 70. If I still feel good, I will consider increasing my mileage more, but for right now, I'm good with 70mpw.

Mapmyrun said this was a 14.6 mile run. Stinson to St anothony, north on river road, and south on Marshall. Crossed the river on broadyway, crossed back on hennepin. Ran Nicollet + Boom island and came back on main, to university to 15th. great route since its almost all on scenic bikepaths, there were water foutains and porta pottys every couple of miles. I only stopped twice for water, both less than 30s. Solid long run.
