Comments:
Willamette River bike path, w/repeat 800s. Felt OK to begin with: low-level heel pain — still having difficulty REMEMBERING to land/push off on my medial foot — still quite tolerable though. Multi-deuce stops on the warm-up (“damn you, nachos!”).
On the North side: 4×800 w/2:00 jog rest: 2:33, 2:31, 2:32, 2:34.
FELT GOOD. Worked on the pawback/efficient heel recovery. Felt like I got a lot of pop out of the stride with sustainable effort. Interesting…I ran these 800s today faster than I did repeat 400s on the same course on 6/25. Nice to feel some progress being made…Maybe I can PR in something OTHER than the marathon this year…
