Bike to NR

September 13, 2008 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Bike

Comments:
Woke up relatively early and did a circuit. I was uncertain about whether or not I'd bike to New Richmond, where my nephew was having his 1st birthday bash. It wouldn't be great for my heel/calf, but I couldn't stand not doing anything today, so I bit the bullet and went for it.

I rode dangerously, leaving behind any flat-fixing equipment behind. Overall it was a very boring ride, taking WI65 north to Roberts, then 120th Ave, by-passing a big chunk of the highway, hopping back on 65 for the last few miles. I averaged 20.1mph. The wind felt like a headwind, but it might've been a tail! :s Either way, I didn't feel too great and since I was rushing, I was efforting more than I was comfortable with. 20mph shouldn't have been that hard, at "sea level".

Evan's bash was pretty sweet, except it was cold and rainy at the park. Thank God we had a shelter, because it rained steady midway through.
