Como Relays

Como relays w/ Dallas. 10x1K. 2 person relays so Dallas ran the first rep then I ran the next, repeat until 10K. So here's the splits:

The 2nd one felt the worst. I think I held back a bit on the 4th loop because I didn't want to die on the last one. It was always tough to tell what place we were in because once we were on the 4th leg, my 2nd lap, we were already lapping people. We ended up in 4th place overall. We beat the one asshole that was cocking off before the race, so that was nice. I didn't try to push the pace too hard and I was wearing moon boots, but I think I might wear flats next week because the course had tall grass and was very bumpy. Very difficult to run fast.

My gut was just going insane all day. I think it's these damn 'Fiber One' granola bars I have been eating. My lab partner brought like a 30-pack into work and said they were communal. Each one has ~9 grams of dietary fiber in them. And since they are so good (chocolate mocha flavored! C'mon!), and they are just like tiny little vitamins, I eat them without thinking about the havoc I have been wreaking. I'll try to take it easy on those and see if things get better. I would not have had to been able to put in this effort if it wasn't for the periodic breaks. Every recovery K was a chance for me to release all the built up gas in me.

Overall, I'm happy with my performance. Time to start getting the legs turning around a bit.
