Willamette River Path 800s

August 27, 2010 (Morning)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 60, sunny, calm

Comments:
Felt VERY TIRED on the warm-up, though in short order the >7:00 effort was producing 6:30 miles. Thought about doing x5 800s but kept it at 4. Wore the Mushas, which felt great yet again.

Did ‘em on the same point as before, this time with 2:30 rest (previously 2). Figured I’d be better served with equal rest. Splits:

2:31, 2:28, 2:29, 2:28

Last time I ran it — also in flats: 2:35, 2:32, 2:33, 2:33.

Nice improvement. Felt quite strong and not particularly efforted until the last one, which I wanted to ensure was under 2:30 GOOD WORKOUT, that had a classic “marathon-trained” feel: tired as hell, but able to ROLL a bit.
