Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
After my crappy 4-mile tempo run earlier in the week, I wasn't sure how the race was going to go. Given my current condition, I was shooting for 5:30 pace to finish in 27:30. Despite a bad fourth mile, I actually was pretty close to my goal, finishing in 27:36.
1 mile- 5:27
2nd mile- 10:55 (5:28)
3rd mile- 16:21 (5:26)
4th mile- 22:11 (5:50)
5th mile- 27:36 (5:25)
I was pleased with the result despite having done few workouts and little speed work. But I still have a long way to go before I'm ready to run a marathon at 6-min pace.
