Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
3 sets of 4x400M. Awesome workout on the track. My guys ran phenomenal (as did most everybody) in terms of fast times that stayed fast throughout. Breaking it down: the first set I had to hold myself back a bit (~78 sec). I felt good. The second set felt hard but well within myself (~75 sec). It was the final 4 laps when you're the most tired and expecting the most out of your body that I really felt this workout. . . well, work me out. Setting the bar at 68 seconds on the first 400 (thanks Rusty), I knew there would be no messing around on the final 3. And they hurt. I was trying to stay relaxed but the last 100M of my final 400 with DJ whizzing away from me (to finish in 63 secs!) I felt like a plane with one engine on fire trying to crash land without completely tearing myself apart. (That's a pretty sweet way to end a workout.)
Now we can, as Nate would say: take it easy, and prepare to unleash again at Gary Ward. Great work to all.
