BK...

September 22, 2010 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: low 90s and rainy

Comments:
was feeling pretty weak and achy before practice and crunches definitely seemed a 100 times harder than usual. i didnt think i'd be able to do much....and then i found out we were doing hills! then i really did freak out. as we started the warm-up i had such a pounding head-ache. i wasn't even planning on trying to do any...but when amy said i should try it out and see how i feel, and that anthony had suggested me to do 5...the fact that anthony felt confident in me...so i just tried it out. i was determined to get through it. i just kept a very steady pace with decent form. i knew i had to run these for me, so i left the group after the first hill and did the rest on my own. i got lost coming down the hill on the third, so i just came down on the road...i felt fine and my breath we steady, so i started picking it up a tad. and on my 5th, with the motivation of marisa and emma, i really came up strong. but i was frustrated i didn't stride through like i wanted. so i had to prove it to myself, so i tried another half -- picked up in the middle of the hill for my 6th, but i was just pretty disappointed in myself that i couldn't just keep it going stronger past the peek of the hill. well, at least i got through it! i wasn't even going to try to do any! i also think, in the very back of my mind, even though she wasn't there, i thought of spergs and how hard she's worked...
this was hardly a true physically grueling work-out, it was really a mental work-out (for me anyway)
