Lowes Creek

October 1, 2008 (Night)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 50s, cool and sunny = awesome!

Comments:
After work today I decided to bike over to Lowes to try a mini-workout. The heel felt 100% this morning, so what the hell? Might as well try.

I stashed my bike in the woods across the highway from the park, at the K point, then did a 2-mile warmup on the main loop and the singletrack along the creek. It felt pretty good, but early on a felt a couple pulls in the L heel.

I did a K + 30/30 to start. My heel felt fine, especially after doing some strides to warm-up. It felt fast and a bit clunky, but not bad. On the increasingly-uneven stretch I split a 3:17. Not bad. The 30/30 went fine but again, clunky.

I was planning on doing at least a ROR or one more K, but the heel felt tight on the recovery. Bummer. I almost decided to do one more K, but I asked myself, "Would an IDIOT do that?". And of course, my answer was yes, and I did like Dwight K. Schrute and DID NOT do that thing.

So I jogged to the K point for additional cooldown and got back on my bike to head for home.

Did circuits but no weights. Just TIRED.
