Mcquaid Year two

Weather: a little chilly, not bad

Comments:
i ate pasta the night before. then i a spinach egg and cheese bagel sandwich for breakfast, then ate a couple muffins and smoothy before the race. we walked the course, and then visualized for a little while. i then put a nose strip on, but i did not like it so i took it off. then we warmed up, and got to the line 20 minutes before the race. we stretched (i felt extremely tight) and did speed d. then we did striders. the race began suddenly. i went out fast, but a little behind the corning guys. i caught up to noah by the mile (5:10) then caught zack and then i found mackenzie and josh from ithaca and ran with them. we got to the 2 mile mark, and we started to gain on austin. At this point a few things were going through my head. 1st "ITHACA!" 2nd "no limitation" and 3rd " look ahead for tim, not back". i pushed myself really hard, and began surging at the 450 mark, then at the tree i started really kicking, but i didnt realize how far i had to go. i tried to catch tim but couldnt get him. i saw 15:58 and tried to get under 16 min, but ended up going 16:02. i came in 23rd and we came in 3rd, ithaca was 4th. i did a cooldown and went home with anthony.
