Veale to MLK
Resting HR: 52. A little tired this morning, but got about 8 hours.
With the team, congratulations to Thea, Ethan, and Bobby for their awards, drills in the muddy field.
MLK
7 mi tempo @ 5:50-5:40 for the first half and quicker for the second half, started out in the lead of the first group with Chris Kelly, felt pretty good, the wind along the lake was annoying but manageable, fell back a bit on the turnaround, second half with Tim and Teare, surprised at how quick some of our splits were, stuck together and finished strong, pit stop immediately after finishing, didn't affect the tempo at all, HR: 164, splits: 5:44, 5:43, 5:45, 5:35, 5:30, 5:39, 5:35.
MLK
6 * 200m striders relay style, with Flick and Grese, legs definitely dead from the tempo.
MLK, Wade Oval, East, Ford, Mayfield, Murray Hill, Veale
With Jeff, Chris Kelly, and Procto, stretch, 36 Ibis, Lankford moved us back to our original location per Steve Thompson, who has become unpopular with several teammates although I don't have any problems with him, glad that we didn't have to lift because the extra time allowed me to hit up the ice bath, 10 min ice bath, listened to Coach tell a bad blonde joke
