First of all, my legs were dead and I dropped off the group. I was initially not happy with this workout. Then, I realized that 28:08 is a good time and I never could have done that last year. I AM getting better at this sport. Also, my heart rate was low-- only 180. I've only had a heart rate lower than that on a tempo once ever. I'm still disappointed that I didn't stay with the group. I ran the last two miles alone. While I was busy sick, feeling sorry for myself, everyone else was getting better, and now I'm behind.
NOTE: My cold was NOT a factor today.
