Resting HR: 48. Sleep: 7.5 hours.
With the varsity team, stretch, drills, hash the hippies, "GOP!", talked to my buddy Matt Jacobs from Rhodes on my way to the line.
Oberlin College
Plan was for Hoodrich and D Cart to go after Oberlin's top guys and for me to lead the rest of the team, got separated from Teare and Bobby at the start, the crowded start brought us through the first mile in 5:10 ish, course was in good condition except the back loops seemed to run slower with the fresh and dry wood chips, kept passing people through the middle miles and caught up to Bobby and Teare, couldn't see any Oberlin runners in front of me to run down, ran the last mile challenging two OWU runners, didn't have the greatest finish, got out-kicked by several runners, finished 41st overall but was probably closer to 35th at the beginning of the chute, a lesson for my goal of becoming All-Region again, also slightly disappointed that I did not break 26 minutes again, just another reason to kick ass at Regionals/Nationals, 3 second PR, team finished 6th overall with 199 points crushing Oberlin (344) and right ahead of and behind Regional foes OWU (237) and Wabash (193), rankings will definitely be interesting this week, Link (injured) did not have a great race, I am sad to know that his chances of making the conference team are greatly reduced, congratulations to Procto for his 4th place finish in the Open race. Women won the team championship with my sweetie, Joanna dominating the individual title.
Oberlin College
With Phil, Austin, and Tim, around the course cheering and around the campus, saw people in the park promoting, "Honk for Peace.", lift on the track, abs with Phil while cheering for the girls open. Thanks to Andrea and Justine, I had an awkard introduction and brief conversation with my future wife, Joanna during the awards.
