I started with the group and began dropping off on the third mile when they began to speed up the pace a little. Once I dropped off, it was the nail in the coffin. Much (certainly not all, though) of my problem today might have been mental. I keep going into every run (not even every workout) just waiting for something to go wrong. Today it started with my stomach and calves. Once I dropped back, I just started the downward spiral of tightening up. Coach told me to talk to the trainer afterward, which of course gave no immediate answers because there is no obvious injury, and I am seeing the doctor tomorrow.
