States sophomore year! Pauling NY

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 70 degrees ish and nice.

Comments:
we woke up at 5:40, ate some breakfast (cereal and muffin) then went to the meet. we warmed up a little, and walked up to the big rock to hang out for a little while. then we went back down and layed down. When it was time to warm up, we went around for a little while, and stretched in lne to the bathroom. then ran a little more, got to the line at 10:55 (the race was supposed to start at 11:15) and we streched and did speed d. I felt pretty good, but i wasnt really nervous at any point, because i think we got to the line too early, so the adrenaline never kicked in. we finally started at about 11:25. i wanted to start out fast and then see if i could hold on, which i sortof did. i went as fast as i could through the mile and it was only a 5:10, and i already felt like i was out of energy already. My form was already messed up and my breathing off. Fortunately, i got back into it on the hill, and i pushed my way down the hill very hard. Mackenzie, liam and i were all going back and forth from the hill to the end, and also slowly gaining on tim. It got a little pushy in some points, but thats ok. I really felt like i gave it a lot of effort, but it didnt really pay off much. Im not disapointed either though. I didnt get tim at the end, and liam beat me, but i beat mackenzie. Then we did a cooldown (i was barefoot) around the big lake, and it was fun. On the way back home, we founf out that we were going to feds as a team. Overall not a bad day.
