got there a little later than I wanted.
but it worked out, found roni and had to lace up my shoes took sooooo long.
he was doing his stuff so i jogged around the parking lot a while, rolled my ankle right as I stepped off the curb,, really... but it didnt feel too bad

did a proper WU with sean and roni over a mile total.

did dynamic stretches and put my stuff away, didnt have time to do drills or strides

gun went off we were really close to the front so a lot of people went by. I waited, roni seemed a little impatient but I knew as long as I went through 2 miles CALMLY he could carry me through the rest.

didnt see the first couple mile splits but oh well I was watchign the k's on my watch. Took water at the start cause I didnt get anything to drink before the race, just needed to wet my throat

felt good when we got on rockville pike the long road, but roni made me push, which was good. we tried to catch people, after the 5k I started to tie up on that hill and ran like 4:02 k which is 10 seconds too slow. I really started working from there.

we started rolling the next few k's I felt good enough to press but the hills were getting to me

2k to go i was hurting bad, the 9th K was brutal. but when I saw 1k to go I started moving and with .25 left I went for it. someone came up on me and I worked hard to fight him off. really happy with it overall last year I ran 41:50 in a terrible racce.

3 minute PR, 5k in 19:14 and second 5k in 19:37? previous 5k PR was 19:45 so this was a PR in that as well :)
