Talked with Coach today about the season and what my plans are moving forward.


At least I got some closure. It wasn't as much as I had wanted, but some is better than none.

I'm building to 70 for 6 weeks. Base mileage. Do some quick miles here and there. Maybe once a week do some sort of 3 mile fast run. I plan on putting in some serious time at the YMCA over break to build up my flexibility and strength, which will in turn get me the speed I'll need for the 3k. I have every intention of winning the 3k at conference because I also have every intention of putting in the work to do so.

The thing is, I just wasn't running at the level I should have been all season. I should have been a top 5 runner on this team at worst, with a chance to be the top guy. I refuse to be mediocre in track. Its about damn time I rise up and take what's mine.

This will not be easy, and no one's about to hand me anything. I cannot expect to get the benefit of the doubt, ever, I learned that in XC. I no longer care if anyone has faith in me as long as I have faith in myself. Let's do work.
