Comments:
mile warm-up
goal: 2 all out to set a benchmark
3 attempts starting fast, settle, cranking last 80-100 meters
3 attempts at starting conservative, opening sprint earlier... near 200 out... 400 meters standard rest. Results:

(benchmarks) @ 1:10, 1:12 -this level was never reached again..
(quick start) @ 1:15, 1:16, 1:16, consistent but never able to hit negative split with the hard finish.
(true negative split) @ 1:15, 1:14, 1:16 -hard to say but these were easier, at least mentally.
