Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Taking a trip down to Volcano for a few days. I didnt have time to run this morning, so I ran when we got to the park instead of hiking. It was crowded, and difficult to find a place. Lots of the park is closed because the volcano is erupting and spewing out sulfer plumes which are toxic. Dad an I eventually found a parking lot, and ran out along the crater rim trail. We did an out and back. The trail was really nice. No people, a so-so rainforest. I felt like a triceratops was going to jump out and tackle me. It was very hot and humid in the forest too. I went all the way out to the end and back to the parking lot.
In the parking lot, I did my hips, and then we went back to the visitors center and I did back and brakes. My hammies were sore after the breaks havnt done those in a while... Planks when we got back to the hotel.
I felt a lot better on this run. It was kinda short, but I was flying. Ill do a 7.5 miler or something when we get back to Waimea, and then do my long on sunday back in Ithaca. My knee was no problem on the trails, and my IT only got tight near the end. Negative split the run by a fair amount. Back and bum are still sore walking around.
