6 minute time trial

We all got back to Case today and had practice at 4. We had been told that we would be going some sort of time trial but it was kinda a mystery what we'd acutally be doing until coach rubin got done with his big long values, goals, and traveling speech.
Turns out that the middle distance people would be running a 6 minute time trial and the longer distance people would run a straight up 2 mile.
We went off first. Pretty much me and Grogan from the start. He really looked awsome. He pushed the pace up all the way through the mile. Really bad splits though. (200 in 31.xx, 800 in 2:12, 1600 4:29-4:30). Ill take it at this point in the season. Splitting a horible split 4:30 at this point is a big confidance boost to me. I figure its gotta be worth something like 4:25??? Maybe in an actual race.
This brings up how much I really don't enjoy running for time. It kinda just sucks. You never really know how much is left and running faster doesn't get you done any faster which is my main motivation late in races.
I ran 2130 meters which was good. I kinda just was like lets get 10 laps and then I can probably stop on teh next lap so I just got through the mile and then tried to pick it up laps 8 and 9 and then sprint after that.
I'm happy with how this went.
Afterward we did 8x200 200 on 200 off for a workout. 200's in 34. Pretty easy. Generally just messed around for most of it. Last one Mercer led. That was a blast!!
Splits: 37.22, 31.72, 33.51, 32.46, 32.44, 32.33, 33.12, 30.1
