January 12, 2011 (Afternoon)
Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
It snowed a lot today, and the roads were very slushy and snowy. In my efforts to stay off the indoor track, I though that I was going to go do the workout outside. Coach informed us that everyone was to do the workout inside, so I joined Ethan Teare in the cardio room on a treadmill.
Did a 1 mile warmup on the indoor track, then we did a new warm up drill routine for indoor days. Included dynamic stretching, drills, bands, and some hurdles. Felt a little tight during them, but better than usual.
Ethan and I then headed up to the cardio room. Did 3 min on, 3 min off, 3 times. The on was supposed to be hard, and we were supposed to do 5. I am still getting into things, so I did 6 min pace. I wasnt that tired but I focused on staying tall and strong. I actually felt pretty good.
Cooldown outside, Veale to ugly statue and back. My knee felt swollen on the warm down and irritated. Back and hips were fine though. Got back, stretched, did a lot on nice L7, then did a new abs. Iced a bit after too.
Overall, feeling tired from doubling. Still think it worked out. I am going to stick to that I think, and then do a little longer tomorrow, then long saturday. It looks like I will only do hips and back 4 times a week now, and hammies 5 times.
