Got an email about doing the workout on the outdoor track today. I was excited. Havnt been out there in a while. Thats where I belong.
Heated and biofrezzed. I was a little sore during the day. Did the Medium drills inside, then did a 1 mile warm up over to the track. Back feeling a little out of focus, but tights felt like they were holding things together.
John Frey and Peter were around, so we started before everyone else. Did 2x 2400m, then 4 x 150 stride type things. Splits for the 2400

Didnt time the 150s. Felt good and strong on the first one. Felt pretty legit when I stood up tall and pulled hips back. Good through mile on 2nd one, then Peter dropped us pretty bad. I just couldnt keep up without pushing the effort up a whole other level. Right leg was workable throughout the workout, and I can deal with that. I know a race feels so much different.
Cooldown with John back through little italy. Stretched, rolled, L7, and planks while hanging out with everyone. No ice or lifting today.
So if I look back, it was exactly one year ago that I first noticed my knee hurting. I really havnt been the same since. I dont know what to think. I always imagined this day, the one year mark. It hard to stomach. I am not feeling 100% yet, but maybe it will take longer. No doubt I have made improvement over this time, but I still feel uncertain with myself. I really want to PR to show myself that I can run with this back misalignment, weak tendon, knee tracking problem, or whatever the doctors were never able to diagnose. What will happen in the next year? I know that my time is yet to come.
