Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
I was planning to do this on the track, but the snow storm dumped so much snow it was covered. Boone didnt clear it off for practice even. Last minute I thought that the Stewart Park loop would be good. It was still snowy but the snow was packed down enough that I wasnt slipping and sliding.
Parked at the park, then did my warm up around, trying to dodge the angry geese. Did a few warm up drills at the start of the loop (couldnt exactly remember medium). Did the 1500 workout, but cut it short so i didnt go too far.
2 x 30 sec hard, 1 min rest
4 min recovery
8 x 80 sec tempo, 1 min rest
4 min recovery
2 x 30 sec hard, 1 min rest
I did 9 loops. I think that it is a little less than 800, so Im gonna call it 4 in total. Didnt feel all that fast on the fast parts, mostly because it was like running on ice. The tempos were strong through. At the end, my knee was pretty tight, and my back didnt feel all that great.
Cool down over to Boynton and back. I wasnt feeling that great, but still trudged on.
Got in Static 3 and rolling on a dry patch of parking lot near the lakeshore. They must have paved the new bike path along the lake. It was hard to make out under the snow, but it looked new to me. I cant wait to run on it when it gets warmer out.
Drove home (stopped at the drug store, saw Mr Anderson buying cigarettes. I cant believe hes still alive) then did abs while watching My Name Is Earl. Kinda sore at the end of the day.
