Exercise Type: Run

Definitely proved to be the hard day I've been looking for!!
Warmup 20 minutes around neighborhood then made way down to Georgetown's track.
Drills and leg swings, then 8 striders. target pace was between 330-345, which seemed very duable. I think I went out wanting to hit the lower end of the spectrum, 1st 800 was 331. Probably should have went out more conservatively but I wanted something hard, so went with it. 400ish recovery.
2nd one definitely felt the first one but kept pushing and hit 334. 800 recovery.
The 3rd one is always the worst for me, on any set, probably because its after the long cooldown. Knowing this, I went into it and tryed to stay focused and hit 335. 400 recovery. but then....

There was a soccer team or lacrosse team at the track as well (Mt. Hebron I think I overheard?) , and they were doing drills and running around the track. I guess the coach saw that I was doing 800s, and asked if I could pace a group through one. She said anything under 4 is fine, I said I've been running around 335, which she then said was even better. There were about 5 girls in the group. Took them out strong on the first 1/2 lap, then we settled into the 1st lap and really pushed the 2nd lap. I wasnt really looking at my watch until the end and I was shocked to see we ran 324! Cooldown 20 minutes. Very tired now, but really enjoyed today and will take it steady tomorrow. I think rhythm is back after Wednesday for sure. Long stretch and planks after!
