Whatever running talent I might have did not manifest itself today. This was about as bad as it could be without injury. My legs were tight and I just felt like crap. The 400s were really rough and I had a hard time running 75s. I was hoping this would be sort of easy and I could use it to rest up for Wednesday but it wasn't. My heart rate at the end of the steady state was 192.

I stretched and rolled really well afterward because I think that is the short-term key to getting my legs back under me. Wednesday I am scheduled to run a 5k time trial and I want to run a time I am not embarrassed by. I would have estimated from last Thursday I would be able to run a 16:10 but this made me look and feel much more like an 18:00 kind of 5k guy...
