30min Tempo: over Brook to West Park to Shaker to South Park to Cortland and back, out 16 min, back 14 min, slightly short of making it all the way back (with Ethan Teare, Dave Dixon)
CD: back to Soberlook (with Ethan Teare, Dave Dixon), to XCFH and back (with Ethan Teare), up North Park to Lee and back (with Brandon Riedlinger)
We negative split by nearly two minutes so we must have been going much slower on the way out. My breathing was shaky but not truly awful. My legs were heavy, especially on the way out uphill, but we went slow enough that I could make it through without any real problems. My stomach was acting up toward the end and I was worried I'd have to make a bathroom stop during the tempo but I never had to. My legs felt like jello. The cooldown was nice and long and I even stared to feel decent toward the end of it. I randomly met Brandon as he went on his run so I added a couple miles today I was planning on running tomorrow.
Yesterday Ethan asked me how I know I am not anemic and I told him I "didn't feel like it" but in hindsight after this today, maybe I am. The first complaint I seem to have is that my legs are constantly tired and I am not driving my knees. From now on, I am back on iron and I am taking it with vitamin C pills. I know this is an excuse and probably the wrong mindset for me to have but what the heck? I may as well try it.
