Goodman Creek Trail/Eagle's Rest

March 27, 2011 (Afternoon)

Exercise Type: Run

Weather: 40s, rain/crap

Comments:
Met Craig, Dan and Meghan at Craig's house, and we all piled into Meghan's car to drive to the Goodman Cr/Hardesty TH, about halfway up to Oakridge on 58. Crappy weather: rain and a bit of wind.

The trail was garbage: tons of mud and water from the get-go. Kept it REALLY EASY on the way up: the 7 miles up might've taken 90 minutes! Near the top the weather really got brutal: actual snow and tons of wind. By the time we summited Eagle's Rest, there was zero visibility. It was so cold we stayed up there maybe 15 seconds before heading out.

On the way down, we went QUICK, which was really fun! They're all good technical runners, so I was just hanging on at times. It was really fun, though.

By the time we finished, I was tired and ready to be done; wonderfully, the sun came out and was shining when we hit the parking lot. Finished up the run with some luke-cold Dale's Pale!

Funny convos, including the following:

Me: "Craig, is there a snowshoe route to the top of Fuji"
Craig: "Yeah, I think it's got Blue Diamonds"
Me: "How 'bout Purple Horseshoes?"

I then went into a discussion on the addition of Purple Horseshoes to Lucky Charms, which I accurately pegged at 1984.

Other topics included:

1. Whether or not it was more advantageous to have male or female genitalia with respect to running performance and overall warmth on the run.

2. Whether or not there's a place in Eugene where you can "Drink free 'til someone pees"

3. Whether or not Jesus was circumcised (NO clue where this one came from )
