Exercise Type: Run
Comments:
Today was a mix of a long run and a workout. I dont really know how to describe it other than explaining through a log.
Ran with Carter out on NP to lee. Aaron Lin was with us till Coventry. Ran at a faster pace, aiming for 7:00 I guess. Added on over to the outdoor track to total 7.5 miles. My shins were rocks on this felt awful, but they loosened up. NBD. I felt pretty comfortable at that pace though which is refreshing. Talked about goals and stuff. Trying to keep my head straight, and do what I set out to do.
At the outdoor track, Carter and I did 4 x 400 with 200m rest. Splits were 77, 76, 75, 69. Felt strong in the beginning, but I was hurting in the last 100 of each. Carter kept me going.
We cooled down to Veale, both of us were pretty tired. Seems like the other group killed it out on the streets too. Nice.
David and I went down to lift after that. This lift was tough. We cut out cook squats, but I upped weights and could feel it. Ill probably be sore tomorrow. Back up for stretch, roll, L7, and ice and abs. I was hungry after practice and made it to Fribs before passing out.
This was alot of miles today. I migt take it easy on my run tomorrow, and do a little jog on thursday before hurdle stuff. Should even out the miles. No race this weekend, but i will get in a workout with some hurdle repetitions on saturday. Im a little disappointed that I am missing out on a racing opportunity, but my goal is to score at conference. Playing it smart is important. There is always Allegheny if I want another opportunity. Through all the shit I went through, no one helped me more than the team and coaches. I want to return the favor.
